I spoke to someone who really knows their stuff when it comes to this and they said that Combo was originally in a group with the other white blokes. They auditioned for The X Factor together but Cowell suggested that Combo goes solo to progress to boot camp - which he did - much to the dismay of the other two.
Combo went on to make the judge's houses where, despite delivering a haunting acapella version of 10cc's 'Dreadlock Holiday' he was told that he hadn't made it in an emotional and heart-wrenching scene with Louis Walsh.

Really ennoyed it and would like to know the significance of his torturers / killers being white?
Either NF who he has upset or anti facists who he knew or the white side of Milky's family as he too was mixed race seems to be the general view?
The ending does leave a few unanswered questions. Would like to see another series. Maybe 96.

After reading others thoughts online on the fate of Combo it seems no one is sure.
Apparently thrown down a lift shaft by NF henchmen is the most popular theory. Also people saying his dad was black so he was mixed race.
Best bit of TV since the Sopranos, Fargo and the last 2 series of TIE.
Disappointed that not many people on here and at work actually watched the series though.
Meadows is a genius and arguably the best writer / director in the UK imho.

What are you on about Gank, t was not obvious at all, did you even watch it?
My interpretation was that Combo thought he was just gonna get a beating from the black guys but when he was handed over to the white guys he knew it would be worse.
Either that or it was unknown people from his NF or prison past who he'd pissed off?
Was very dark.
Great last episode that made me laugh and cry a bit.

Who were the white blokes who carried Combo off? Combo became terrified when he saw them. What was the significancec of him being handed over by a bunch of black blokes?
The wedding planning scene was hilarious, genius!
Sad it's over, doesn't look like they'll be anymore.

Its been posted up on youtube for those not in the UK, previous series and the original movie are all very very good, 90 starts of slow but builds, some great acting and very well made, always something going on the side or in the background which is a nice touch and makes it more interesting, flip and Iggy in 86 cracked me up, funny as fuck, also some great songs featured, Dr Feelgoods down by the jetty with the mass brawl in 86 was a standout, yet to see this final instalment of 90, hopefully its posted up in the next few days.
Great stuff though
